Citi Simplicity offers a 21-month 0% intro APR on both purchases and balance transfers, but also features APR and you won't be charged a fee no late fees, no penalty rate and no annual fee. This means that along with saving money by not paying interest on your balance, you won't need to worry about an increase balance transfer fee of 3%, but given in your ongoing APR and you won't be charged a fee if you happen to be late on a payment. Balance Transfer Calculator The card does have a balance transfer fee of 3%, but given the long 0% APR period it could be very worth it to transfer your balance to this card. Take a look at our free Balance Transfer Calculator to determine if this is your best balance transfer option.
Citi Diamond Preferred also features a 21-month 0% intro APR on purchases and balance transfers, but provides perks like a concierge service and the ability to earn points by making purchases with the card. worth it.
Citi has just improved the bonus on its CitiBusiness / AAdvantage Platinum Select World Mastercard (a NextAdvisor advertiser). For a limited time, you'll earn 50,000 bonus miles after spending $3,000 in the first 3 months (up from a previous 30,000 mile bonus offer). According to our recent Travel Rewards Program Analysis these 50,000 miles are equal to $500 in travel if you spend them on flights. That's a pretty great perk, not to mention you'll earn 2 miles per $1 spent on eligible American Airline flights, on car rentals, at gas stations (after 11/15/15), and on telecommunication purchases. All other card purchases will earn 1 mile per $1 spent. You can also take advantage of Group 1 boarding on American Airlines flights to get settled in early. The card's $95 annual fee, while a bit steep, is waived the first year.
You can redeem your earned miles for free flights and upgrades on American Airlines (and participating partners) , hotel stays and car rentals. However you will get the most bang for your buck ($500 of free flights!) by using your miles for flights at a value of $1.04 per $100 spent on the card. The mile redemption value for free hotel stays is much less at $0.57 per $100 spent.
If you're travelling outside the US there is a foreign transaction fee equal to 3% of the amount of each foreign currency purchase after its conversion into:roll: U.S. dollars. For those who are adverse to paying foreign transaction fees and an annual fee, consider Capital One Spark Miles for Business, which has a very flexible point redemption plan, a 20,000 mile bonus;) (equal to $200 in travel) no foreign transaction fees and absolutely no annual fee
